PROGRAMME

Participation is available onsite and online. The event is held at Rondo 1 Tower (Rondo ONZ 1, al. Jana Pawła II), in the center of Warsaw, Poland. The event will consist of three sessions. The second and third panel sessions will take place in Warsaw. The second session will have athletes and their entourage discussing income and commercial opportunities in the Easter European countries, while the third session will introduce Eastern European stakeholders referring to good governance in the employment relations in Eastern Europe.

The event is a part of the EMPLOYS project concerning employment relations of Olympic athletes. This ‘Eastern European’ event is coordinated by the Institute for Sport Governance which is a project partner in the project, coordinating data gathering in the Eastern Europe. The initiative explores employment relations of athletes in Olympic sports and the final aim is to provide policy recommendations to sport governing bodies, national legislators, and the European Union to improve good governance in athletes’ employment relations in Europe. Full name of the event is ‘Evaluating Good Governance in the Employment Relations of Athletes in Olympic Sports in Europe’.

As the introduction to the event you might read the first output of the project – a report named “Understanding of Employment relations of athletes in Olympic Sports in Europe”.
