Join us to discuss and critically evaluate the developed 27 principles of Good Governance across six core dimensions of the employment relations of athletes in Olympic sports in Europe. The seminar is a part of the EMPLOYS project, funded by Erasmus+ grant, and coordinated by the German Sport University in Cologne.

On good governance in the employment relations of Olympic athletes in Europe
At the seminar we will discuss theoretical background of operationalisation of athletes’ employment relations rights through the lens of good governance that takes place along the lines of the six problem-centered and topic-specific dimensions of the Fact Report, including contract, income, commercial opportunities, occupational safety and health, social protection and participation and bargaining. About the EMPLOYS project
The event is a part of the EMPLOYS project concerning employment relations of Olympic athletes. The EMPLOYS project is coordinated by the German Sport University in Cologne and funded by the Erasmus+ grant. This ‘Eastern European’ event is coordinated by the Institute for Sport Governance which is a project partner in the project, coordinating data gathering in the Eastern Europe. The initiative explores employment relations of athletes in Olympic sports and the final aim is to provide policy recommendations to sport governing bodies, national legislators, and the European Union to improve good governance in athletes’ employment relations in Europe. Full name of the event is ‘Evaluating Good Governance in the Employment Relations of Athletes in Olympic Sports in Europe’.
