Institute for Sport Governance Publishes Its 2024 Activity Report

The Institute for Sport Governance (ISG) proudly presents its 2024 Annual Report, summarizing a year of dynamic development, strategic initiatives, and impactful contributions to good governance, education, and international cooperation in sports.


Key Highlights of ISG’s Activities in 2024

Expanding Erasmus+ Projects – ISG actively participated in eight Erasmus+ Sport projects, addressing key areas such as good governance, dual-career education, social protection for athletes, and sports innovation. These projects played a crucial role in shaping policy recommendations and fostering collaboration across Europe.

Strengthening Social Responsibility in Sports – ISG conducted in-depth research on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) practices in Polish football clubs, publishing comprehensive reports on clubs from PKO BP Ekstraklasa and Betclic 1 Liga. The analysis highlighted the growing commitment of clubs to sustainable and socially responsible practices.

Empowering Future Leaders – ISG hosted the Sport Students’ MeetUp 2024, the largest student event in Poland dedicated to sports management and governance. The event provided a platform for young professionals to network, gain industry insights, and engage in discussions with top sports experts.

Advancing Research and Publications – The institute was involved in key research initiatives, including SPLISS Paris 2024, evaluating elite sports expenditure and Olympic success, and the PIDS report on security, economy, and geopolitics of the Paris 2024 Olympics. These publications contributed to a deeper understanding of global sports governance trends.

Expanding ISG’s Media Presence – 2024 marked a significant increase in ISG’s reach, with over 1,700 LinkedIn followers and nearly 100,000 LinkedIn post views, alongside growing engagement on social media platforms. ISG experts were featured in numerous industry podcasts, conferences, and media publications, strengthening the institute’s voice in the international sports governance debate.
