Summary of the month – January 2025
We Entered the New Year with High Hopes and Motivation! January brought several new initiatives, a valuable publication, a webinar, and project meetings at ISG. How did it all unfold? Read on to find out!
New Expert Group on ESG in Sport!
Sustainability has long been a part of our work. We are delighted to see this term appearing more frequently in public discussions about sport in Poland. A great example of this was the ESG Football Summit, which you can read about here.
To meet the expectations of the industry, we have created a dedicated discussion group on LinkedIn focused on ESG in sport.
We Have a Solidarity Project!
For months, we have been communicating about the role of solidarity projects in fostering local communities through sport. We are thrilled to announce that a project submitted by a group supported by ISG has been approved by the Polish agency, making it a reality!
The Youth for Sport and Society Leadership Programme aims to explore how sport can serve as a tool for community integration while educating a group of local sports leaders who will be responsible for developing sport in their regions.
More details coming soon!
We Held a Webinar on Solidarity Projects
Inspired by the success of our application, we decided to share our knowledge and experience by organizing a webinar for young people about opportunities within solidarity projects under the European Solidarity Corps.
ISG Joined EPSI!
We are expanding our network by integrating with other organizations dedicated to the development of sport. We are proud to announce that we have joined the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI)!
EPSI is an independent non-profit association based in Brussels, focused on promoting innovation in sport and related sectors.
We believe this will be a valuable addition to our activities!
1st League Competing for the Ekstraklasa – Not Just on the Pitch!
Following the December release of our CSR report on PKO BP Ekstraklasa, January was the time to analyze CSR levels in Betclic 1st League.
This year’s report revealed many fascinating insights, with the most significant being that 1st League clubs have significantly closed the CSR gap with Ekstraklasa teams! Particularly impressive is the performance of the report’s top-ranked club, which, if competing in Ekstraklasa, would rank second in CSR efforts!
If you haven’t read it yet, we highly recommend it!

Sport Transparency Index – Project Meeting
Another significant project meeting in January was for the Sport Transparency Index.
The key focus was on the progress of Work Package 3 (Training Program), led by ISG. One of the major achievements in this area is the development of a Digital Training Package for Promoting Transparency and Good Governance in Sport, which will serve as the foundation for future educational efforts.

Finally, an important team update. At the end of January, Piotr Popławski left the ISG team, and Cezary Jedliński has taken his place.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Piotr for his invaluable contributions to ISG’s growth. We are confident that our paths will cross again in the future!
