First ACTION+ Project Meeting of the New Year!
The transition from January to February was marked by the “Governance + Sport + Implementation (ACTION+)“ project, coordinated by the Institute for Sport Governance.
This time, project consortium representatives met in Portugal, hosted by one of the project partners, Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude.
ISG was represented by Dr. Grzegorz Botwina, and the key topics of the meeting were facilitator training and the pilot implementation of the ACTION Code in sports federations.
A Prestigious Nomination for Our Project!
One of our proudest achievements in 2024 was undoubtedly Sport Students’ MeetUp 2024. That’s why we were thrilled to learn that our initiative has been nominated for the “Sports Social Project of the Year” award, presented by the Sport Business Poland Association.
The awards will be presented during the upcoming SBP Congress, where you will surely have the chance to meet at least a few representatives of our team.
February – The Month of OCLP!
February was an intense time for the Olympic Committees Leadership Programme (OCLP). A key event was the project meeting in Athens, where partners – including Institute for Sport Governance (ISG) – finalized the online workshop program, set to launch after the completion of the second research survey.
So far, the first workshops have already taken place in Poland and Croatia, with upcoming sessions scheduled for Ukraine and Greece. The program will then transition to an online phase, followed by the mentoring program recruitment process in the summer, selecting 16 future leaders.
“We met to discuss the progress of the leadership workshops. The first sessions have already taken place, and more will follow in the coming weeks. After that, we will move to the online phase, and by the end of May/June, we will complete this stage of training,” summarized Grzegorz Botwina from ISG.
