European Week of Clean Sport (EWCS) 2025

The European Week of Clean Sport (EWCS) is a pan-European initiative promoting the values of clean and ethical sport, free from doping. The project is being implemented simultaneously in four countries – Cyprus, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Poland – with the goal of fostering a culture of fair play within local sports communities.
The campaign highlights the importance of fair competition by engaging athletes, coaches, institutions, and fans, regardless of their skill level or age. Clean sport is not just about the absence of doping – it also stands for transparency, responsibility, respect, and equal opportunities.
Our Role and Collaboration with POLADA
We are proud to have joined the European Week of Clean Sport together with the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (POLADA). From the outset, our goal was not only to promote the principles of fair play but also to raise awareness about integrity in sport. Our materials and activities focused on education and inspiration – emphasizing that honesty in sport is fundamental to its development and to building public trust.
Our joint efforts began on March 26 with a symbolic post launching the campaign. Over the following days, we promoted values related to integrity, anti-doping efforts, fair play, and systemic solutions for clean sport. We paid special attention to POLADA’s initiatives – from legislative measures to educational and social activities.
A Noteworthy POLADA Initiative – “Running with Pure Joy”
Although ISG was not directly involved in the organization, it is worth highlighting one of POLADA’s most important initiatives promoting clean sport – the run “Running with Pure Joy”, held on March 30, 2025, in six locations: Chorzów, Kielce, Warsaw, Toruń, Wrocław, and – for the first time – Vienna.
The fifth edition of this event combined the promotion of physical activity and clean sport with charitable efforts. Thanks to the participants, PLN 61,615 was raised to fund sports camps for children with disabilities and their caregivers, organized by AMP Futbol Polska as part of the “Football Gang” project.
In Chorzów, a special educational zone called “We Play Fair” was also set up, where POLADA experts engaged with participants on topics like sports ethics, the dangers of doping, and the importance of fair competition. The presence of ambassadors – Olympic medalists and renowned athletes – gave the event a unique character.

What Did We Take Away from EWCS 2025?
The European Week of Clean Sport was not just a campaign to promote fair play, but also a platform for sharing experiences and best practices. Our cooperation with POLADA demonstrated that Poland can be a leader in integrity in sport – both in the fight against doping and in the broader context of sporting honesty.
The conclusions from EWCS show that:
- Social campaigns can genuinely shift public awareness;
- Educational efforts should accompany all levels of sport – from amateur to professional;
- Honesty, transparency, and equality are values that unite athletes and fans across borders.
#BeCoolPlayClean – You Too Can Promote Clean Sport!
We thank everyone who participated in this year’s European Week of Clean Sport. Together with POLADA, local partners, and event participants, we created a space for conversation, reflection, and action.
Sport free from doping, manipulation, and violence is not just an ideal – it’s a future we are building together.
