Expert Commentary on the Report

Changes in CSR among Betclic 1 League clubs over the past season have been significant and positive, particularly in the areas of society and governance. Part of the improvement in average scores can be attributed to the efforts of leaders such as Miedź Legnica, Wisła Kraków, Lechia Gdańsk, and Zagłębie Sosnowiec. However, systematic changes are also visible across most organizations, especially in policies addressing child safety and training processes.
Paweł Zembura, PhD, Institute for Sport Governance

The analysis results for the 2023/24 season provide Miedź Legnica with an excellent tool for drawing new insights and further planning and development of initiatives that balance sports, social, and environmental goals. This balance is achieved while maintaining the proper integration of social responsibility, environmentally friendly practices, and the club’s economic objectives.
Agata Chlastawa, Miedź Legnica

For many years, we have worked to ensure that first-division football, and therefore our clubs, develop in terms of CSR. As a league, we strive to inspire clubs to take action and showcase good practices. The report prepared by the Institute for Sport Governance shows that we are heading in the right direction, but there is still much work to be done, particularly in the environmental sphere.
Bartosz Wiśniewski, Betclic 1 Liga

Recommendations and Next Steps

The report’s authors emphasize the need to intensify environmental efforts, including:
