Join the Second ECOS N2K Online Training!

Puck Bay and the Hel Peninsula are areas of exceptional natural value, protected under the European Natura 2000 network. They are also places where physical activity and active lifestyles are increasingly popular.
How can we combine physical activity with care for the environment? We seek answers through the international project ECOS N2K – Environmental Conservation Opportunities and Sport in Natura 2000 Sites, supported by the Erasmus+ Sport programme.
Our foundation is pleased to invite you to the second in a series of online training sessions, aimed at teachers, sports coaches, educators, and anyone involved in initiatives at the intersection of sport and environmental protection.

Why participate?
The ECOS N2K project is built on the belief that sport, when practiced consciously and responsibly, can become a powerful tool for environmental protection. The training aims to share knowledge and practical tools that help to:
- Integrate environmental education into sports activities
- Minimize the negative impact of physical activity on protected natural areas
- Use sport to activate local communities in sustainability efforts
- Inspire the creation of grassroots, eco-friendly initiatives involving youth
Participants will also receive access to practical educational materials developed within the project – ready to use in teaching and training environments.
What has happened so far?
The first training session under the ECOS N2K project took place in March 2025 and was a key step in building a committed community of people who want to connect sport with nature conservation. It attracted participants from a wide range of backgrounds – including teachers, trainers, educators, students, and local activists – highlighting the broad interest and potential of the topic to influence everyday educational and community practices.
Participants welcomed the presented materials enthusiastically and expressed their willingness to implement them in their own educational work. They also shared valuable suggestions, including the need to further promote the project, develop environmentally-friendly educational trails, and integrate environmental content into school curricula and sports programs.
These insights helped us better understand the needs of our audience and became the inspiration for planning the second edition of the training to better support local actions.
About the ECOS N2K project
ECOS N2K is an international initiative implemented by partners from Poland, Spain, and Italy. The project is based on collaboration between local governments, universities, non-governmental organisations and sports institutions. Its objectives are to:
- Create educational tools that promote sustainable development
- Increase ecological awareness among physically active people
- Support local leaders who will work for nature conservation in Natura 2000 areas
Join ECOS N2K and take action!
We believe that the future of Puck Bay, the Hel Peninsula, and other areas of natural significance depends on our awareness and commitment. Sport can be a powerful ally in protecting nature – all it takes is the knowledge of how to use it wisely.
Join the ECOS N2K training and be part of this change!
